Psalms 1

The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.

1 How blessed is the man who ^adoes not walk in the ^bcounsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the ^{▼▼ Or way
,} ^dpath of sinners,
Nor ^esit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his ^fdelight is ^gin the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates ^hday and ⁱnight.
3 He will be like ^ja tree firmly planted by ^{▼▼ Or canals}streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its ^{▼▼ Or foliage}leaf does not wither;
And ^{▼▼ Or all that he does prospers}in whatever he does, ⁿhe prospers.

4 The wicked are not so,
But they are like ^ochaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore ^pthe wicked will not stand in the ^qjudgment,
Nor sinners in ^rthe assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord ^{▼▼ Or approves or has regard to
,} ^tknows the way of the righteous,
But the way of ^uthe wicked will perish.
